Meeting placeBattleground National Cemetery 6625 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20012 Street parking is free but spots may be crowded. If necessary, volunteers can park in some business lots in the area (e.g. CVS).

Planned ActivitiesLandscaping, Planting, History Programs
Planned Low-Impact ActivitiesVolunteer activities such as cleaning of memorials and light landscaping work (picking up sticks, helping cut vines, etc.) will be low impact and safe. There will be Junior Ranger books available for children.
Other ActivitiesThe Park Day activities will begin with cleaning of memorials and light outdoor maintenance. After a lunch break the National Park Service will invite volunteers on a history talk and walking tour.
Bring tools?No supplies needed, but volunteers will need to wear comfortable clothes that can get messy, bring water, and bring food if they plan to stay all day.
