|Meeting place||Volunteers will meet at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park’s Visitor Center located near the northeast corner of the intersection of FM 1847 and FM 511, approximately five miles north of Brownsville. After a morning session’s orientation and living history demonstration, attendees will proceed to Palmito Ranch Battlefield at the intersection of Texas State Hwy 4 (Boca Chica Rd.) and Palmito Hill Rd. about 12 miles east of Brownsville.|

|Planned Activities||Activities include a trash pick-up and an historic recount of Palmito Ranch Battlefield NHL, as well as a presentation on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's conservation efforts at the South Texas Refuge Complex.|

|Bring tools?||Yes: Bring sunscreen, work clothes, and a hat. Bottled water, disposable gloves, hand-sanitizer, and trash bags will be provided for free.|
