Q: Do I need to stay at The Mills House Wyndham Grand Hotel to participate in the Grand Review?

A: No. You can stay anywhere!

Q. The CWT room block at the Mills House is sold out. What should I do about a room?

A. Yes, the Mills House is sold out of our room block, and we are unable to add any more rooms to our block.  You can book your own room that fits within your budget, or you can contact us if you are interested in a Bed & Breakfast option. We have some rooms on hold.  For hotels in the area, please visit the Charleston Convention and Visitor Bureau at: http://www.charlestoncvb.com/.

Q. What is the parking rate at the Mills House?

A. The valet parking rate at the Mills House is $30/night. There is also self-park right behind the Mills House for $25/night.

Q. What is the approximate taxi rate from the Charleston Airport to the Mills House?

A. The approximate taxi rate is $30 per trip.  

Q: When will I be able to select my tours?

A: Additional details regarding the tours, meals and other events will be available in early August. If you have pre-registered for the Grand Review, you will be notified by mail that tours are available for sign up.

Q: Why is my personal itinerary so important?

A: Your personal itinerary will provide you with important details about your weekend. You will have information about when your tour lines up for departure. We will not hold a bus for you if you are tardy, so please be sure to be on time.

Q: Will there be Civil War Trust merchandise for sale at the Grand Review?

A: Sorry, we are not going to have merchandise available for you to purchase during the Grand Review.

Q: Is there any recommended reading to prepare for the areas we’ll be exploring during the Grand Review?

A: Yes! A list of recommended reading can be found on this page.

Q: What is the attire during for the activities scheduled during the Grand Review?

A: Friday night lecture: Business casual attire is suggested. For tours on Saturday and Sunday please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. Casual clothing, comfortable clothing and closed toed walking shoes are recommended. We recommend cocktail/business attire for the dinner on Saturday night.

Q. What is the best way to navigate around Charleston?
