Civil War Trust

Scholarship Program

2017 Annual Conference Scholarships for Teachers & College Students

The mission of the Civil War Trust is the preservation of America’s significant Civil War battlefields by protecting the land and educating the public about the vital roles those battlefields played in directing the course of our nation’s history.

Through the generosity of our donors, the Civil War Trust is pleased to offer eleven (11) full scholarships to attend the 2017 Annual Conference in Chattanooga, TN on June 8-11, 2017. There will be seven (7) STUDENT scholarships. These are available to COLLEGE students that are studying, and have an interest in the American wars. In addition, there will be four (4) TEACHER scholarships available. These are available to current teachers who are enthusiastic about teaching about the American wars in their classrooms. These full conference scholarships include registration fees, travel expenses and hotel accommodations for the duration of the conference, as well as seven meals.

We are grateful to our members who support this program, allowing the opportunity for college students and teachers to attend a conference that they would not typically be able to afford on their own. It also gives recipients the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and learn more about the American Civil War, as well as network with people that are important to the cause.
