Lawrence Keener-Farley is a graduate of York College, Shippensburg University, Temple University and Widener University. During his career, Dr. Keener-Farley worked for Harrisburg Area Community College, Alice Lloyd College, York College, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the National Civil War Museum. Now retired, he is a volunteer historian at the Gettysburg National Military Park museum. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association, the Cumberland County Historical Society and the Camp Curtin Historical Society. He is the dance master of the Civil War Dance Foundation, the Civil War Trust’s 2011 Reenactment Unit of the Year.
