The White House and Museum of the Confederacy
They are graciously opening their doors for free to any conference attendees, just show your nametag and they’ll be happy to provide you a ticket! They also have a newly opened museum out at Appomattox. Their website is: www.moc.org.

For those of you that won’t have extra time to visit the museum and won’t be on one of the tours that stop there, we are offering a shuttle to the museum on Thursday, June 7. The shuttle will depart the Omni at 9:30 am and at 11:00 am. Each shuttle will accommodate 25 people. Please see the Civil War Trust registration table for additional information.

Stuart’s Ride Commemoration Event
For all ages. It’s the 150th anniversary of Stuart’s Ride around McClellan’s Federal Army! Experience the meeting between Generals Lee and Stuart that led up to the Seven Days Battles. Enjoy living history, a re-creation of the meeting, and take part in a question and answer time with Lee and Stuart interpreters. Period music, children’s activities, Civil War re-enactors, and tours also provided.
